To capture Cassi Barlow's earthy yet elevated aesthetic, I moved away from traditional salon branding in favor of a woodblock-inspired botanical illustration. This grounds the identity in an Asheville-rooted feel, which I paired with a high-contrast, architectural typeface. The result is a visual identity that balances Cassi’s wild, homegrown spirit with a structured, modern finish.
To reflect Rachel Hiemer’s dual role as a printmaker, studio owner, and educator, I paired high-energy typography and bold colors with a custom linocut illustration. I intentionally kept the mark imperfect to mirror the organic features found in hand-pressed art, while the structured secondary typeface adds a layer of professionalism. This resulted in a clean visual identity that balances nostalgia and that handmade feel.
Dorado Dance Company is a local dance studio that wanted to move away from traditional dance tropes and lean into their Arizona roots. I went with a raw, gestural mountain illustration to mirror the movement of a dancer, grounding it with a structured typeface that feels high-end but approachable.
Cellar Gang or Die is a local brewery consulting firm owned by award winning brewer David Fuhrer. Fuhrer was looking to brand his services with a logo that would speak to his clientele, as well as signify the tools and objects important to the industry's trade. I used an organic illustration, bold block lettering, and an organic grunge texture to convey both his brand's personality and his own charm.
